NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING

SUPPLY OF 5 UNITS OF 4WD VEHICLES

REF NO: GoPL/CIP/Goods/NCB/001/2016

 The Federal Republic of Somalia has received financing from the World Bank toward  the cost of the Somalia Capacity Injection Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this

  1. The Office of the President of Puntland State of Somalia through its Project Coordination Unit (PCU) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply of following vehicles: Five (5) 4 WD vehicles: Three (3) pick-up/double cab/ 4×4 vehicles and 2 4×4 Hardtop vehicles. The vehicles shall be delivered in Garowe, Puntland, Somalia within eight weeks period from contract
  2. The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that the equipment offered is of current production and has been in production for at least the last two years and is inclusive of warranty and
  3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in the World Bank’s  Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works  and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits  &Grants by World  Bank Borrowers (January 2011 edition) (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
  4.  Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Project Coordination Unit Team (PCU), attn.: Yussuf Dahir, Project Procurement Specialist  at  yussuf.cip@plstate.so, with cc: Cip.oop@plstate.so and  mamohamed.OoP@plstate.so.
  1. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be obtained by interested  bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below. The Bidding Documents will be sent by electronically to interested bidder’s representative. The bidders must provide in the Application the electronic address where the Bidding Documents should be sent. The Bidding Documents will be provided in either in hard copy or electronic
  2. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before hour 12:30 pm Thursday, April 10, 2016 local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened  at 12:30 pm local time on Thursday, April 10,   2016 in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address
  3. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration
